Hi, my name is Faiyaz, I am in 9th grade and attend West Orange High School. I am creating this blog for an English project. We are telling our class what we are passionate about by watching TED Talks and reflecting on them. I have been recently dealing with the question "What am I passionate about?"
I have been passionate about television and media since 7th grade when I took Television Productions. I always got excited at the idea of anchoring for television or controlling the camera and visuals of a broadcast. I enjoy computers as well specifically designing presentations and making beautiful things on a computer.
Another interest of mine is reading and writing. I actually tried to do the NaNoWriMo challenge with encouragement from my English teacher Mr. Shreffler, however I was not able to meet the 50,000 word requirement. NaNoWriMo is a program that helps people and kids who want to become writers get a boost by allowing them to write stories. Next November I will try the challenge again and hopefully I will be able to complete it.
I hope this project will help me figure out exactly what I am passionate about and what I want to do with the rest of my life.
